Raffle Rules: 2017 HSC Millionaire Lottery Main Ticket and Draw Information

1. The 2017 HSC Millionaire Lottery main ticket prices are: Single ticket for $100, 2-Pack for $175, 4-Pack for $300, and 8-Pack for $500. Only 57,000 tickets will be sold.

2. The total retail value of prizes is $2,050,394.00 (excluding taxes) for the Main Lottery.

3. All persons participating in the 2017 HSC Millionaire Lottery must be a minimum 18 years of age.

4. The Fall Bonus cutoff date for main ticket sales will be Thursday October 5, 2017 at Midnight. The Fall Bonus draw will be held on Thursday October 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

5. The Super Bonus cutoff date for main ticket sales will be Thursday October 19, 2017 at Midnight. The Super Bonus draw will be held on Thursday November 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

6. The Early Bird cutoff date for main ticket sales will be Thursday November 9, 2017 at Midnight. The Early Bird draw will be held on Wednesday November 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

7. The Final main ticket sales cutoff for all remaining prizes will be Wednesday November 22, 2017 at Midnight. All remaining main prize draws will begin on Tuesday December 5, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. and stop at 4:30 p.m. and if required, continue on Wednesday December 6, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. and stop when completed. These draws will be in order of ascending retail value. All draws will take place at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

8. The Grand Prize draw will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the William Ave Mall located at Health Sciences Centre 700 William Ave, Winnipeg, MB.

Grand Prize Rules

9. The Grand Prize Winner will have until no later than Thursday December 14, 2017 to make their selection of their choice options.

10. Title transfer for Grand Prize Choice 1, a Pioneer Building home located at 22 Greenlawn Street in Winnipeg would be on or before January 5, 2018; for Grand Prize Choice 2, a Maric home to be built in the On The Edge Estates in Headingley (Lot 7), the winner would have 120 days to enter into a contract with Maric Homes and construction would be substantially completed within 10 months of the contract being finalized and access to the property; for Grand Prize Choice 3, the SookePoint Ocean Cottage Resort Surfside Yacht Suite #31C located in Sooke, BC would be upon completion of construction (no later than July 15, 2019).

50/50 Plus™ Draw Information

11. 50/50 ticket prices are 1 ticket for $15, 6 tickets for $30, and 20 tickets for $60, and will be sold to generate a maximum of $1,725,000 in gross revenue. Winner will receive 50% of gross revenue to a maximum of $862,500. The 50/50 Plus™ minimum prize guarantee is $200,000.

12. 50/50 tickets must be ordered in conjunction with 2017 HSC Millionaire Lottery main ticket(s). 50/50 Plus™ ticket orders will not be accepted after the original 2017 HSC Millionaire Lottery ticket order date.

13. The 50/50 ticket sales cut off is Midnight, Wednesday November 22, 2017 or earlier if Main tickets are sold out. The 50/50 Plus™ draw will take place Thursday December 7, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

14. In the event that the 2017 HSC Millionaire Lottery Main tickets sell out before Midnight, Thursday November 9, 2017, the draw for the 50/50 Plus™ will take place on Thursday November 23, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

Big Passport Plus™ Calendar

15. Big Passport Plus™ Calendar ticket prices are 1 ticket for $20, 4 tickets for $40, and 8 tickets for $60. A maximum of 90,000 tickets will be sold. Tickets purchased will be eligible for all draws which include the 30 Big Passport Plus Calendar Daily Draws and the January 31st, 2018 Final Draw.

16. Total retail value of the Calendar prizes is $125,000.

17. The Calendar tickets must be ordered in conjunction with 2017 HSC Millionaire Lottery main ticket(s). The Calendar ticket orders will not be accepted after the original 2017 HSC Millionaire Lottery ticket order date.

18. The Calendar ticket sales cut off is Midnight, Wednesday November 22, 2017 or earlier if the Main lottery tickets sell out. All Calendar draws will take place on Thursday December 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at. There will be 30 Daily draw winners for the first 30 days of January 2018. Winners’ names will be posted daily on the 2017 HSC Millionaire Lottery website www.hscmillionaire.com.

19. The Calendar Final Draw will take place on Thursday January 25, 2018 at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

20. In the event that the 2017 HSC Millionaire Lottery Main tickets sell out before Midnight, Thursday November 9, 2017, the Calendar Daily draws will take place on Thursday November 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

21. In the event that the 2017 HSC Millionaire Lottery Main tickets sell out before Midnight, Thursday November 9, 2017, the date for Calendar Final Draw will remain the same and take place on Thursday January 25, 2018 at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

Other Rules:

22. Each ticket purchase is issued in only one person’s name and prizes will be issued only to the name of the person on the ticket. The person whose name is on the ticket is responsible for distributing any prizes in the event of a group purchase winning. All ticket packs are considered a single purchase and all tickets are issued in one person’s name.

23. Tickets can only be purchased within the Province of Manitoba. All non-residents must purchase tickets in-person at one of the retail ticket locations.

24. The 2017 HSC Millionaire Lottery tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.

25. Ticket requests will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

26. All payment must be made in Canadian dollars.

27. A ticket is not considered purchased until a verified financial transaction is complete. Ticket request with cheques returned for insufficient funds (NSF) will be automatically voided. The Foundation has the right to charge persons $30 to cover NSF administrative costs.

28. A complete list of all prize winners will be published in the Winnipeg Free Press on December 20, 2017 and a complete list of all winners will be published online at www.hscmillionaire.com in a timely manner after the final Grand Prize draw has been completed. If the lottery should sell out before Midnight, Wednesday November 22, 2017 a complete list of all prize winners will be published in the Winnipeg Free Press on December 6, 2017. Upon request to the Foundation office, a listing of winners will be provided.

29. The 2017 HSC Millionaire Lottery ticket purchases are not tax deductible and no charitable donation receipts will be issued, as per Canada Revenue Agency regulations.

30. If the grand prize winner chooses one of the homes as the grand prize option, the Land Transfer Tax and the costs of transferring the home to the winner would be borne by the Foundation.

31. The Foundation reserves the right to use the winners’ names and photos in communication, promotional and media materials.

32. Members of the Board of Directors and employees of the Health Sciences Centre Foundation, employees’ household members, and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program are prohibited from purchasing tickets in the 2017 HSC Millionaire Lottery. Staff and Board members of St-Boniface Hospital Foundation and employee’s household members are also prohibited from purchasing tickets given that ticket processing services are being provided by the St-Boniface Hospital Foundation.

33. All unclaimed prizes become property of the 2017 HSC Millionaire Lottery after a period of three months once notification of winning tickets have been sent by mail or by email followed by one telephone call.

34. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure the mailing address on their ticket is correct.

35. Each ticket is eligible to win one prize in each prize category. A Prize category is defined as each group of identical prizes on the official list of prizes. In the case of the Big Passport Plus Calendar Daily prize draws, ticket purchasers will be eligible for all of the 30 daily prize draws and for the January 31st final prize. After each prize category draw is completed, all tickets go back in the draw for the next prize category draws.

36. All prizes must be accepted as awarded.

37. Vacation packages include all taxes and where applicable, airfare from the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport. Some blackout periods apply. All vacation travel prizes are based on availability and certain restrictions and conditions may apply.

38. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated in any advertising.

39. Winners may be required to present photo identification in order to claim their prize.

40. The Foundation reserves the right to refuse purchasers.

41. The liability of the Foundation is limited to the ticket price paid.

42. All ticket holders have the right to witness the draw.
