Raffle Rules: 2019 HSC Millionaire Lottery Main Ticket and Draw Information

1. The 2019 HSC Millionaire Lottery main ticket prices are: Single ticket for $100, 2-Pack for $175, 4-Pack for $300, and 8-Pack for $500. Only 59,100 tickets will be sold.

2. The total retail value of prizes is $2,187,953.67 (excluding taxes) for the Main Lottery.

3. All persons participating in the 2019 HSC Millionaire Lottery must be a minimum 18 years of age.

4. The Fall Bonus cutoff date for main ticket sales will be Friday October 4, 2019 at Midnight. The Fall Bonus draw will be held on Thursday October 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

5. The Super Bonus cutoff date for main ticket sales will be Friday October 18, 2019 at Midnight. The Super Bonus draw will be held on Thursday October 31, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

6. The Early Bird cutoff date for main ticket sales will be Thursday November 7, 2019 at Midnight. The Early Bird draw will be held on Wednesday November 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

7. The Final main ticket sales cutoff for all remaining prizes will be Friday November 22, 2019 at Midnight. All remaining main prize draws will begin on Tuesday December 3, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. and stop when completed. These draws will be in order of ascending retail value. All draws will take place at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

8. The Grand Prize draw will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the William Ave Mall located at Health Sciences Centre 700 William Ave, Winnipeg, MB.

Grand Prize Rules

9. The Grand Prize Winner will have until no later than Friday December 13, 2019 to make their selection of their choice options. The winner’s name and ticket number will be published on the hscmillionaire.com website on December 5, 2019, and the winner will be contacted at the telephone number/s and email address provided on their order form. In the event that the winner cannot be reached or does not indicate their selection to the HSC Foundation prior to 4:30 p.m. on Friday December 13, 2019, the cash option will be awarded.

10. Title transfer for Grand Prize Choice 1, a substantially renovated home by Maric Homes and located at 426 Hosmer Boulevard in Winnipeg would be on or before January 10, 2020; for Grand Prize Choice 2, a Maric Homes house located at 116 Creemans Crescent in Winnipeg would be on or before May 29, 2020; for Grand Prize Choice 3, a Sterling Homes new home at 7 Hummingbird Cove in Winnipeg would be on or before August 28, 2020; for Grand Prize 4 The Rise condominium located at 501-300 Centre St in Winnipeg would be on January 31, 2020, and the Watermark Beach Resort condo at 44-15 Park Place, Osoyoos, BC on or before December 1, 2019; for Grand Prize Choice 5 a Skaha Hills Hillside Home at #123-100 Vista Way located in Penticton, BC would be on or before February 1, 2020.

11. Due to housing market fluctuations, the market value of the real estate prizes may rise or diminish over time. The winner or Foundation is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual market value at the time the prize is awarded.

50/50 Plus™ Draw Information

12. 50/50 Plus™ ticket prices are 2 tickets for $20, 8 tickets for $40, and 30 tickets for $60, and will be sold to generate a maximum of $2,000,000 in gross revenue. Winner will receive 50% of gross revenue to a maximum of $1,000,000. The 50/50 Plus™ minimum prize guarantee is $200,000.

13. 50/50 Plus™ tickets can only be purchased if a 2019 HSC Millionaire Lottery main ticket(s) has been purchased.

14. The 50/50 Plus™ ticket sales cut off is Midnight, Friday November 22, 2019 or earlier if Main tickets are sold out. The 50/50 Plus™ draw will take place Thursday December 5, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

15. In the event that the 2019 HSC Millionaire Lottery Main tickets sell out before Midnight, Thursday November 7, 2019, the draw for the 50/50 Plus™ will take place on Thursday November 21, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

Daily Cash Plus™ Draw Information

16. Daily Cash Plus™ ticket prices are 2 tickets for $20, 8 tickets for $40, and 30 tickets for $60. A maximum of 292,800 tickets will be sold. Tickets purchased will be eligible for all draws which include the 60 Daily Cash Plus™ Daily Draws and the 4 Daily Cash Plus™ Final Draws on January 31st, 2020.

17. Total retail value of the Daily Cash Plus™ prizes is $130,000.

18. The Daily Cash Plus™ tickets can only be purchased if a 2019 HSC Millionaire Lottery main ticket has been purchased.

19. The Daily Cash Plus™ ticket sales cut off is Midnight, Friday November 22, 2019 or earlier if the Main lottery tickets sell out. All Daily Cash Plus™ draws will take place on Thursday December 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3. There will be 60 Daily Draw winners for the first 30 days of January 2020. Winners’ names will be posted daily on the 2019 HSC Millionaire Lottery website www.hscmillionaire.com.

20. The Daily Cash Plus™ Final Draws will take place on Thursday December 5, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

21. In the event that the 2019 HSC Millionaire Lottery Main tickets sell out before Midnight, Thursday November 7, 2019, the Daily Cash Plus™ Daily Draws will take place on Thursday November 21, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

22. In the event that the 2019 HSC Millionaire Lottery Main tickets sell out before Midnight, Thursday November 7, 2019, the date for Daily Cash Plus™ Final Draws will take place on Thursday November 21, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the HSC Foundation Office at PW112-700 William Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3E 0Z3.

Other Rules:

23. Each ticket purchase is issued in only one person’s name and prizes will be issued only to the name of the person on the ticket. The person whose name is on the ticket is responsible for distributing any prizes in the event of a group purchase winning. All ticket packs are considered a single purchase and all tickets are issued in one person’s name.

24. The official ticket is a receipt of purchase. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure the mailing address on their ticket(s) is correct and that they receive their ticket(s); however, participants do not need their ticket(s) in hand in order to be included in the respective draw(s). Tickets cannot be refunded once draws commence.

25. The 50/50 Plus™ and Daily Cash Plus™ tickets are available for purchase by any main ticket purchaser throughout the program. The addition of 50/50 Plus™ and/or Daily Cash Plus™ tickets will only be accepted online after the initial main ticket purchase and must be purchased by the ticket deadline. All purchasers will require their initial order number and postal code to add additional 50/50 Plus™ and Daily Cash Plus™ tickets to their original order. Additional purchases will be in the name of the original ticket purchaser and will be mailed to the address on the original purchase.

26. All draws, except for the Grand Prize draw, will be made using Random Number Generator (RNG) software. The Grand Prize draw will be made by hand using a draw drum and numbered tokens corresponding to each ticketholder in the database.

27. Each winner, as a condition of accepting any prize, may be required to sign a declaration and release confirming such winner’s eligibility to participate in the 2019 HSC Millionaire Lottery and releasing the Foundation from all claims which may arise from or in connection with the awarding, receipt, use and/or misuse of any prize awarded.

28. Tickets can only be purchased within the Province of Manitoba. All non-residents must purchase tickets in-person at one of the retail ticket locations.

29. The 2019 HSC Millionaire Lottery tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.

30. Ticket requests will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

31. All payment must be made in Canadian dollars.

32. A ticket is not considered purchased until a verified financial transaction is complete. Ticket request with cheques returned for insufficient funds (NSF) will be automatically voided. The Foundation has the right to charge persons $30 to cover NSF administrative costs.

33. A complete list of all prize winners will be published online at www.hscmillionaire.com by December 13, 2019 and published in the Winnipeg Free Press on December 18, 2019. If the lottery should sell out before Midnight, Thursday November 7, 2019 a complete list of all prize winners will be published online at www.hscmillionaire.com by November 29, 2019 and published in the Winnipeg Free Press on December 4, 2019. Upon request to the Foundation office, a listing of winners will be provided.

34. All prizes are tax-free. The 2019 HSC Millionaire Lottery ticket purchases are not tax deductible and no charitable donation receipts will be issued, as per Canada Revenue Agency regulations.

35. If the grand prize winner chooses one of the homes as the grand prize option, the Land Transfer Tax and the costs of transferring the home to the winner would be borne by the Foundation.

36. The Foundation reserves the right to use the winners’ names and photos in communication, promotional and media materials.

37. Members of the Board of Directors and employees of the Health Sciences Centre Foundation, employees’ household members, and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program are prohibited from purchasing tickets in the 2019 HSC Millionaire Lottery. Staff and Board members of St-Boniface Hospital Foundation and employees’ household members are also prohibited from purchasing tickets given that ticket processing services are being provided by the St-Boniface Hospital Foundation.

38. All unclaimed prizes become property of the 2019 HSC Millionaire Lottery after a period of sixty (60) days once notification of winning tickets have been sent by mail or by email followed by one telephone call.

39. Each ticket is eligible to win one prize in each prize category. A Prize category is defined as each group of identical prizes on the official list of prizes. In the case of the Daily Cash Plus™ prize draws, ticket purchasers will be eligible for all 60 Daily Draws and for the 4 Final Draws on January 31st. After each prize category draw is completed, all tickets go back in the draw for the next prize category draws.

40. All prizes must be accepted as awarded; some restrictions may apply to prizes.

41. Vacation packages include all taxes and where applicable, airfare from the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport. Some blackout periods may apply. Should the trip value be less than the prize amount, no refund will be given. If possible, all travel must be completed by September 30, 2020. Travel must be booked within 4 weeks of prize notification. It is the responsibility of the winner to purchase travel insurance. The Great Canadian Travel Group Inc. reserves the right to select suppliers and travel insurance provider for all trip components. Additional costs over the prize value are the responsibility of the winner. The 14 – $10,000 Travel Prizes for a total of $140,000 are to be used within 14 years from the date of prize notification. The winner will be able to book travel annually until the full $140,000 has been used. All vacation travel prizes are based on availability and certain restrictions and conditions may apply.

42. For all travel prizes, winners and guest(s) must travel together on the same itinerary. The winner and his/her guest(s) must be a Canadian resident to qualify for the prize. The winner and his/her guest(s) must have the right to enter the destination. A minimum of one (1) person, either the winner or guest(s), must hold a valid credit card to cover any incidentals or any requirements that may be required by the accommodations. The prize winner shall not be entitled to receive in cash, certificate, or otherwise, the balance of any amount representing the difference of the prize retail value and actual cost. No frequent flyer miles will be available.

43. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated in any advertising.

44. Winners may be required to present photo identification in order to claim their prize.

45. The Foundation reserves the right to refuse purchasers.

46. The liability of the Health Sciences Centre Foundation is limited to the ticket price paid.

47. All ticket holders have the right to witness the draw.
